In this series, I approached the mountains as living beings. They appear to be in constant motion due to the changing light and the clouds hovering above them. While the mountains of Switzerland are typically associated with the picturesque, I aimed to reveal the ruggedness of the landscape. After extensive driving, climbing, and walking, it felt as though the mountains were 'coming at me'. I felt dizzy and light-headed. This force of nature overwhelmed me. The landscapes are isolated, and most of the photographs lack any trace of humans, creating an alienating effect. By using black and white film, I emphasize the roughness and purity of the surroundings.
